David Matthewman

David joined Grange Moor Band for the second time in his playing career having been brought up in Grange Moor. Much persuasion was taken to get David to take up the position of Solo trombone as he would rather play any but (even 3rd triangle!). We're glad he came to his senses as his section is one of the strongest in the band!

Often you will find David playing the Sop part on trombone out of boredom! He has played with some of the greatest bands in the world, and his experience in brass banding is second to none. When not a band he can be found on his worm farm!

Previous bands include; Carlton Main Frickley, Yorkshire Imps, H.M Coldsream Guards, Hammonds Sauce, Skelmanthorpe. Guest appearances with Black Dyke, Brighouse & Rastrick.
