Lisa Shirley

Lisa joined the band in 2004 after following her friends Karen, Paul and Peter from Spen Valley Brass Band. She'd heard about the late nights and copious amounts of alcohol to be drunk in Grange Moor and thought it would be a shame not to join them! After originally joining the band on Eb Bass (far too heavy) and a couple of contests on horn, she has now decided that baritone is the instrument for her. Amazingly, this was the instrument she first joined Spen Valley Brass on 18 years ago.
