Having brought my son Aaron, up to the Grange Moor Tuesday band one night, I must say it’s a great surprise and honour to be playing with the Junior and Senior bands. I started playing and learning the cornet when I was 6, with my brother. We played for Preston Youth and Senior brass bands in the mid 70’s to early 80’s. At 18 I left college to join a rock band, to play full time bass guitar. After one year and hundreds of gigs in the UK, I left to get a real job! Last band position, before moving to Yorkshire: solo tenor horn, Preston concert band.
